Erik is one of the most experienced and recognized leaders in the National EMS community. His experience in designing and managing both 911 paramedic systems and private ambulance companies spans three decades and covers many of the largest EMS systems and companies in the Country.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Amerik Medical Billing: 2015 – Present
Owner/President

Erik is responsible for operational consulting and troubleshooting with our clients on process flow, ePCR hardware and software integration and quality assurance. Erik’s extensive back in operational management gives him a unique ability to understand and develop the quality of information coming from providers, in order to maximize the revenue recovery process.

 

WestMed Ambulance Service: 2007 – Present
President/Owner

Oversees all aspects of 15 million dollar Ambulance Company in Alameda County. Direct oversight of approximately 300 employees servicing requests for transportation annually from over 400 facilities in the Northern California region.

 

EM Solutions: 2007 – Present
Owner/President

Following a highly successful career as a senior manage with AMR and MedTrans, Erik opened a private consulting practice specializing in EMS system design and strategic planning for private and public EMS agencies. Since going into a private practice, Erik’s list of customers has included many of the major providers of emergency service from across the nation, coupled with the experience of designing and implementing emergency transportation systems for more than 60 cities and counties.

 

American Medical Response: 1999 – 2003
Senior Director of Operations

Responsible for all day to day operational aspects involving 80 million dollar medical transportation company. Direct oversight of multi-site, multi-county operations with 600+ union and non-union employees. Led restructuring process and developed employee recruitment and retention programs.

 

Medtrans: 1995 – 1999
Chief Operations Officer

Responsible for all aspects of 50 million dollar medical transportation company with 450 employees. Direct oversight for all business departments including Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Billing, Call Center, Quality Assurance, Risk & Safety and Fleet Services.

 

Hartson Medical Services: 1991 – 1995
Director of ALS Operations and 911 Call Center

Managed entire operation of the single largest private 911 contract in the United States and 13 surrounding cities in San Diego County. Responsibilities included direct oversight for more than three hundred employees working in paramedic operations, 911 communications, fleet maintenance, support services, recruitment, training and quality assurance.
